Over the last ten years,playing videogames has become the hobby for most children.Children in our culture grow up playing videogames in the morning,in the afternoon and often in the evening.They use all their free time for playing videogames.Althoug there are some kind of videogames that can be good for children,because they can learn new words and increase their vocabulary,but in spite of ,many parents think that playing videogames may not good for children.In fact,videogames may be a bad influence to children for three reasons.

First of all,some videogames are not good for children.For example,in counter strike and vice city,people are killed with knives,guns and even cars.Some children can believe that violence is a normal situation in our life.They may begin to act with violence because children imit all that they see.

Second,videogames can affect reading ability.Reading require concentration and mental processes.If children playing videogames too many hours each day,when they try to read,probably they will be tired,also they don't practice enough time to learn how to read.

Finally,videogames may affect children's schoolwork in other ways.If they spend too much time playing videogames,they can't conclude their homework on time.Consequently,they are not learn their lessons,and could even fail in school.

In conclusion,if children playing videogames too much,their personalities can be harmed,furthermore,their progress in school can be affected.Therefore,parents should have more control over their children and only to let play videogames on weekends and to check that their children finish their homework before to play videogames.
